John opens up about his childhood, from his parents' split to the influential role his grandfather played in his life, especially after the passing of John's father when he was just 13. He also shares how volunteering at a special needs camp is where he met his wife, and they later gave birth to a daughter with Down syndrome.
The two discuss John's journey of personal growth and development. As someone who previously struggled with self-love and unhealthy coping mechanisms, John shares how actively seeking self-improvement through podcasts and learning from successful people helped him take control of his thoughts and actions to create the results he wanted in fitness, business and life.
Motivated by the loss of family members, John took a leap of faith to start his own pest control company, Ultimate Pest Solutions, with the goal of leaving a positive legacy. He shares how building confidence, taking small steps, and staying curious and coachable have marked his path.
John and Cory also dive into the power of transforming from a selfish to a selfless mindset through serving, encouraging and learning from others. They highlight the book "The Go-Giver" and its impact on shifting to a service-oriented approach focused on giving value and building relationships.

Welcome to The Cory Lee Show, where we focus on building leaders and transforming culture.
In today's episode, Cory dives into the concept of "Seasons of Change" and the importance of understanding the season of life you're currently in.
Drawing insights from entrepreneurial thinkers like Jack Dorsey and motivational speaker Jim Rohn, Cory emphasizes the need for wisdom and discernment in an age where distinguishing between the real and fake is becoming increasingly difficult. He highlights how champions handle the pressure of expectations differently than underdogs, and encourages listeners to embrace the challenges that come with each season.
Using the analogy of the four seasons - winter, spring, summer, and fall - Cory explains how our lives mirror these natural cycles. He stresses the significance of learning to handle the difficult "winters" of life without letting them define us, and being prepared to seize opportunities when "springtime" arrives.
Cory also discusses the true sign of maturity: being able to handle both meager and plentiful harvests with grace and humility.
Throughout the episode, Cory emphasizes the importance of self-awareness, personal growth, and maintaining a strong connection with God. He reminds listeners that they were made to tackle challenges head-on and that every season, whether difficult or abundant, presents an opportunity for growth and transformation.
So join us as we explore the Seasons of Change and discover how to navigate life's ups and downs with wisdom, resilience, and faith.
